The Mentors Project of Bibb County is proud to announce “Project 3.0: Striving Higher. 80% and Beyond,” an ambitious initiative at Ballard Hudson Middle School to ignite academic transformation and personal growth in 74 young men. Project 3.0 aims to see at least 80% of participants achieve a 3.0 GPA or higher by year’s end—proving that with the right resources, relationships, and recognition, Macon’s youth can reset what’s possible.
Macon’s legacy is one of endurance and unity. From historic halls to close-knit neighborhoods, this city has risen time and again because its people lift each other higher. Project 3.0 is built on that same foundation: mentors and community partners rallying around our future leaders, so every boy not only imagines success but also earns it.
Mentors are urgently needed. Every volunteer shapes a life; every donor helps provide critical rewards, memorable experiences, and the structure that drives sustained achievement. “With Project 3.0, we’re not just supporting students—we’re redefining what’s possible when a community acts as one,” says Marshall Talley, Project Director. “Let’s make the 3.0 goal a Macon milestone for every family.”
